It just happened to me to find this truly inspiring post from Fussy Monkey Business: I’ve been looking at mid-century night tables for months now in the thrifts, but, I have to admit, I would NEVER have thought about something like this!
Here are the night tables I was about to buy in a local thrift, but I’m pretty sure you have seen something similar as well in your area.
Ok, invention comes from necessity and, for I don’t have children now, it just wasn’t the right moment for this kind of inspiration to me. But I do love LEGO and nerdy/architectural recreations so I think I will steal this DIY as soon as I will have the chance.
Anyway, what I really appreciate in this makeover is the freedom and the lateral thinking behind it: a genuine example of one simple idea, followed by a bold move, which eventually changed both function and esthetic of an otherwise pretty common piece of furniture.
You can steal the same concept for yourself in a small potting table makeover or some craft side table as well.
You can find the full makeover here! Hope you enjoy it as I did! Well done Crystal!
